Our first Reading for the Week for 2023 comes from Omikemi, Oakland staff member and reader. This reading starts today, Sunday January 1st and runs for the week ahead. They are using a combination of the Stranger Things Tarot Deck for the main cards, the Demon Card is from the Occult Tarot, and the Angel Card is from the Angel Tarot.
3 of Dice(Swords):
Last year brought up and out so many of the things that we have hid from ourselves and others. We have had to acknowledge and navigate the guilt, self-sabotage, and grief we have been moving through; this year we finally lay all of that to rest.
9 of Scoops(Cups):
This year we embrace all of the qualities we have decided are worth working through about ourselves and being to welcome them into our true self. We begin to unlearn the aspects of ourselves that are not in alignment with who we believe we truly are. The 9 of Scoops talks on sharing with the world the “work in progress” that we all are with our heads held high.
3 of Scoops(Cups):
In the near future, we will understand how death/change has transformed us into who we are now and begin to co-create deep and rich connections that support us. We also have the opportunity to show up and support others on this path of growth to the degree that we can be open to these refreshing connections blooming into friendship and family-like dynamics.
