Statement of Mutual Respect

The Raven’s Wing Magical Co. believes that magic happens everyday. Our community shops are designed to be safe spaces for all people to allow for their exploration and healing, and to be a source of hope and transformation. 

Everyone has the light of the divine within them. Our staff, customers, clients, and teachers deserve respectful conduct and speech. 

We are working to make our spaces more welcoming for people with disabilities. 

Our online classes are in development, and we welcome feedback from our community regarding accessibility for folks with hearing impairments or visual impairments.

Our Portland store is in an old building and is not wheelchair accessible. We are working with the property owner to find a way to change that.

We honor many global spiritual traditions with respect.

We strive to recognize and release the appropriation that is so common in American magical practices. 

We believe that Black Lives Matter.

We seek to uplift the voices and stories of Black people, indigenous people, and people of color with reverence. We are proud to provide platforms for BIPOC teachers.

We are proud to be a queer-run business, and we welcome people of all gender identities. We provide platforms for LGBTQ teachers.

We acknowledge that our Oakland store sits on traditional Ohlone land. We acknowledge that our Portland store sits on traditional Clathamet and Chinook land. 

We do not tolerate racist, sexist, ageist, ableist, transphobic or homophobic speech or actions in our spaces. When shopping with us or attending one of our events, you agree to monitor your speech and behavior to uphold this atmosphere of mutual respect. Anyone found violating this agreement will be asked to leave.
