Anders (@astrowithanders) from our Oakland store has an important message for us about the combination of an Eclipse joined to the Full Moon in Scorpio that is occurring this morning, Friday, May 5th. Let's see what he has to share with us:
This morning at 10:34am there will be a lunar eclipse in Scorpio - the last eclipse in Scorpio for 9 years!
Lunar eclipses happen during full moons so all of the heightened feelings and intensity get supercharged. This eclipse is ruled by Mars, which is in the Moon's home sign of Cancer. Both Scorpio and Cancer are signs symbolized by animals (scorpion and crab) with hard exoskeletons and claws, making them excellent at defense so you may feel a strong urge to defend something fiercely with all your might. However, this lunar eclipse happens near the south node, which is all about release and letting go.
Is there something gripped in those hard claws that in trying to save it, you have actually squeezed the life out of it? It's really hard for Scorpio, a fixed water sign, to let go but that is what is being called for today. Release, grieve, cry, rest.
