The first Full Moon of the year is coming up tomorrow, January 5th at 3:06pm PST. Let's see what Andi, our resident astrologer (and Oakland store manager) has to share with us.

Time to get cozy and emo - the Cancer Full Moon arrives at 3:06pm this Friday. This full moon happens at 16 degrees of Cancer while the Sun snuggled up to Mercury, which is at 17 degrees Capricorn and almost halfway through its retrograde journey.

Cancer and Capricorn are opposite signs that share an appreciation for the past. Whereas Cancer has a more emotional and nostalgic relationship to the past, Capricorn studies history (personal and global) in order to make informed decisions about the present and future.

With this full moon occurring alongside Mercury retrograde, there will likely be some issue or memory that resurfaces and needs your attention. Was there an upset that you weren't able to feel or grieve at the time?

This is a powerful moment to give space to whatever feelings arise. Mercury may prompt you to journal or process these feelings verbally and it's also ok if there are no words yet.
