First, a wonderful relaxation exercise to prepare you for divination work from Rowan:
I'll share a technique that I use before I do divination that I actually learned in acting school. The goal is to help you become open, passive, and receptive, so I suppose if I had to name it I would call it "Opening the Way."
Close your eyes. Relax your body. Inhale deeply. Exhale deeply. Wait for the need. Inhale. Wait for the need. Exhale. Sense the top of your skull, and relax it. Feel warm honey spilling over you, melting your feet into the sand. Take the moment to feel it melting over you. Inhale, wait for the need, and then exhale. Relax your skull. Relax your forehead. Relax the back of your eyes. Relax your jaw. Inhale, wait for the need, exhale. Relax your throat. Relax your tongue. Relax your neck. Relax your shoulders. Relax your spine. Relax your jaw. Inhale, wait for the need, exhale. Relax the back of your eyes. Relax your tongue. Relax your arms. Relax your legs. Relax your feet. Feel how open you are. Inhale, wait for the need, exhale. Reach out through your crown to the person you are reading for, and connect to their crown. Inhale, wait for the need, exhale. Physically connect your tool of divination to your third eye, heart, and belly button. Breathe upon it. Inhale, exhale. Begin your reading.
At first this technique will take a minute or longer, but with practice you will be able to do it in the span of several breaths. Placing yourself in an open, flexible, and receptive space such as this will greatly assist you in the interpretation of your readings.
Willlow's favorites of the moment:
Sacred Mysteries, The Chakra Oracle is so beautiful and it just goes deeper and deeper.
I don’t generally get drawn to oracle decks but this one is definitely a favorite. And the Numinous Tarot!
Both of these are decks I’m using In my readings with clients and because they are so inclusive, I find that they speak so well to a wide range of experiences.
From Deliah:
My favorite tool would be Tarot, and the deck I love the most is the Halloween Tarot by Kipling West.
My most used and favorite technique is astral travel and Akashic reading, which go very well hand in hand. Tarot is an amazing tool to help discern the messages that are harder to grasp. Omens/Symbolism is super important to learn with these techniques to get the whole picture.
And lastly a list of favorite decks from Miss Remy:
The Threadbound Oracle
Lua Lenormand by Maree Bento
Magpie Lenormand
